Comments on the Doom Movie Trailer

If you can't see this well (The lighting problems of Doom 3 seem to have carried on to Doom: The Movie), it's the stereotypical old guy (Or the frazzled guy who dies at the end, etc etc), looking into a bathroom.


And all he finds is a mouse.

The trailer switches out to make it look like his legs were grabbed, but if you look closely, it's a whole other area. Apparently, he doesn't get his legs grabbed here. Guess that's a spoiler, but... whatever.


DOOM IS WAITING. Not only is that a horror of the English language, I've never heard anything in the game Doom described as "Doom". Hmm. Again, Universal Pictures wipes their ass all over John Carmack in another attempt to make a decent movie into another "SWAT"-esque ripoff.


The only shot you'll ever see of a full out demon that looks decent. Even so, it's only a bare head shot. Whoopdedoo. Imps arent that interesting.


Later in the trailer, mass amounts of people are running out of the AOL... err... UAC complex. Again we see Universal pictures take the Doom licence and use it as toilet paper. IN THE DOOM GAMES, THERE ARE USUALLY LESS THAN 5 PEOPLE IN THE GAME ALIVE, SANS YOU. Suprise! Looks like in this game, not only are there tons of living people, which means not only arethe Demons are suprisingly pissants compared to the game versions, but we have to deal with the typical "Screaming Scene" where we are subjected to approximately 2 minutes of scenes where little kids (Or in this case, scientists) run all over the place screaming for no apparent reason.


The Rock with a BFG. This makes me wonder if they'll actually use the acronym for BFG (For the uninitiated, BFG means Big Fu**ing Gun). Well, the Rock is somewhat cool, but I'm still convinced that this might actually be the only reason (other than the fat guy dying) to see this movie.
