FINALLY something cool. The nurses. The Nurses are the characters that have appeared in multiple SH games that basically live in the Silent Hill Hospital and try to bash your brains in. Very scary, very cool, and totally worth the inclusion.
You know when your mom told you not to put a plastic bag over your head?
A shot of Pyramid head's legs. Wow, that was so totally worth the two minutes I spend watching this. Only one frame of the entire trailer devoted to the god of Silent Hill, Pyramid head?
Because when the trailer flashes pictures of baddies really fast, it means it's supposed to be scary or exciting or something.
And that's it. I can say I was kinda not pleasantly suprised. The trailer was good and somewhat interesting, but I could still not get the feeling of "WHAT?" out of my mind. I mean, when you spend about 60% of a trailer on inconsequential things like driving in a van and talking to your husband/daughter and less on the actual scary things, it leads me to believe that your movie will be the same way.
Silent Hill is a series that was really unique because it was truely, genuinely, 100% scary. Why? Well, let's see-
1. The game left you alone by yourself. You were not around lots of people. This movie obviously breaks that rule.
2. The game was freaky and made you feel out of place. Hard to feel out of place when you have a car and a cell phone and call different people, huh.
3. The game had unique environments. This might actually be the only thing the movie keeps to the original series on. But that's just copying.
Well, folks, I hope you guys enjoyed this, and I certainly hope the movie doesn't suck as bad as I've made it out to be. Then again, I seem to be pretty accurate being as I was 100% right on Doom, and I'll probably be right now.
But let's just pretend. Remember, this is Silent Hill world.
