    RAM:
    Corsair 1GB PC4200 DDR2 DIMM Memory Kit- $96
Okay, I know 1GB is a little stingy for a "SUPER GAMING PC". However, I game on 1GB, and the only lack is really load times- but lets remember, kiddos, that we're on a budget. Just like I have planned, he probably will end up wanting more RAM, but we're only talking entry level. With Heat Displacement and other nice goodies like PC4200, I don't think he'll be able to argue. Plus, with two memory sticks, it will be nice to have a little cooling in between them. Again, because I'm good like that.

    Case:
Asus VENTO 3600 Blue ATX Mid Tower- $125
OK, OK, I know. The Vento looks like an Alienware ripoff, and it is. But what's not mentioned about the Vento is the nice, sleek design, as well as a plethora of fan support, so that's always a plus. There is a pretty good variety of choice in color here, but I decided on dark blue for my demo machine- but who the hell cares, really. It works like a normal case, nothing good, nothing bad. Moving on.

    Monitor:
    Hyundai ImageQuest L90D+ Silver/Black 19'' LCD Monitor- $339
This is exactly what I have, and I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. The big reason I'm choosing this as his montior is the fast refresh time, which he'll need for 3D modelling. Plus, 19" is a freaking monster, so I should hear no arguments from him.

    Hard Drive
    Maxtor DiamondMax 10 6B160M0 160GB Hard Drive- $90
His original concept was a 60gb hard drive, but lets be frank for a second. When you get down to it, games are freaking huge now. Also, your interface plays a big option, especially when you're gaming. Thats where the Diamondmax 10 comes in. While not being the best of the best (Only 8mb cache, a default for many Hard Drives, as well as a decent 7,200 RPMs), it definately blows out anything close to it. With good reviews, 160 Gigs of well-stocked memory, and a company known to deliver like a prostitute using UPS, it has it all.

    Combo Drive:
    Sony 52x/32x/52x DVD/CD-RW Writer- $30 (OEM)
Again erring on the cheap side, I've gone with a DVD/CD+RW combo. While you can't burn DVDs (A staple for me and many torrenters), this will do a great job at MP3 burning and everything else he might need. Also, Sony has always done a decent job with drives, proving that they actually can do something related to computers decently, as long as it doesnt have "VAIO" on it.
