Super Castlevania IV (known as ???????? Akumaj? Dracula in Japan) was the first Castlevania game released on the Super NES console. Technically it is a "remake" of the original Castlevania and Vampire Killer; a retelling of Simon Belmont's foray into Castlevania. However, the game has new levels (several featuring areas outside of Castlevania), 16-bit graphics featuring the SNES Mode 7 chip, and the soundtrack contains both remixes of previous Castlevania scores as well as new pieces entirely. It is the first of two Castlevania releases for the Super NES.
