Sonic the Hedgehog 2, or simply Sonic 2, is a platform game developed and published by Sega for the Mega Drive/Genesis. It is the sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog, and was originally released in November of 1992. The game introduced Miles "Tails" Prower for the first time as a playable character. It is widely considered to be among the greatest and most influential video games ever released.
