    4. FAQs and Notes

    Q. Is this legal?
    A. Yes and no. Obviously, if you were to pirate games using this hack, it is illegal. Modifying your XBOX is not, nor is running homebrew programs on it or any of that fun stuff- just the pirating aspect.

    Q. If I want to switch back, can I?
    A. Absolutely. That's what ?Create MS Backup? is for.

    Q. What happens if my XBOX Breaks or messes up?
    A. My best advice is to try softmodding again, as it seems to somewhat fix things. It's extremely hard to mess up the system so bad it won't boot a disc, which means for all intents and purposes, as long as you keep the required saves on your disc, you can always fix it. I've managed to "Break" my XBOX a total of about 3 times, but I always fixed them in a matter of minutes.

    Q. Can this be done on other systems?
    A. Yes, but since most if not all don't have hard drives, it's one hell of a lot harder.

    Q. Will you do this for me?
    A. No.

    Q. Will it play (.mkv, .avi, .mov) files?
    A. XBOX Media Center is always being updated. Yes, it does play Matroska encoding, as well as DivX and most other proprietary formats. As for Quicktime formats, I'm not sure- but thankfully, very few videos are encoded in that.

    Q. Can I listen to Shoutcast Radio on it?
    A. Yes, through XBOX Media Center.

    Q. Could I use the XBOX FTP as like a back up drive?
    A. Considering the XBOX only has an 8 GB HDD, it is probably not the best backup system. As well, the FTP aspect sometimes will mess up and/or crash, so secure files are out of the question. The XBOX also has an inherent file name limit, which is odd, but it is something to note.

    Q. Where did you learn all this and get all this stuff?
    A. It's a secret to everybody. Again, legal issues- but, let's put it this way- Google is your friend. Have fun.

Note that everything I've said in this article is information provided on an AS-IS basis, and all of it is not encouraging piracy, illegal hacking, or any kind of illegal activity. In no way does this article put forward any ill will against Microsoft, and is generally presented on an intellectual basis for the further learning and knowledge of technical data. That being said, don't sue.
