Mario Party Advanced

The first Mario Party came out for the N64, and it was a smash hit with many people, as the whole idea was "original" and the game itself was pretty fun except for the games where the rotation of the joystick occured (I've seen people with giant blisters cause of it). So then they come out with Mario Party 2! Now, at this point some people are freakin' out like there's no tomorrow, while everyone was is realizing that it's just Mario Party 1 in cowboy hats.

Then after that they come out with 3, then 4, and later to be Mario Party 6.
Now I don't know what persuaded these people to make SIX Mario Parties, but it definetely wasn't legal. Everybody that was sane and/or 12 years and up knew that this game is just like Mario Party 1, but with better graphics and you can walk on cakes (Mario Party 5)

So then the makers had to scramble to find a new way to make Mario Party even more annoying, so they come up with Mario Party Advanced.

Now here's how Mario Party works, and I say Mario Party because this is the plot to EVERY SINGLE MARIO PARTY GAME. Basically, you are in a 1st person view and entering some town filled with pipes and huts and many original Mario characters and they're all extremely happy you're there. In this town you can play mini-games and have a joyous time. However, suddenly Bowser falls from the sky and RUINS everything and you have to go on a party board and play a bunch of mini-games and stop Bowser.



I was hoping to God that this game would be different than the other 6 Mario Parties. However, according to my luck, it was indeed the SAME exact game as the other 6. The only difference is in Mario Party Advanced there is:

- A Town with a large amount of quests
- A moving around system which requires you to 'eat' a mushroom. (Further Explanation: To move around the town you eat a mushroom which causes the spinning block saying how many spaces you can move).
- A game where the graphics were made by 15 year olds.

Yes indeed the graphics could be made on good old MSPaint if you were to work hard enough on it. I've personally never liked any of the Mario Parties graphics mainly because they are meant for small children, not for high school kids.



The music is ok, though I think every single mini-game has the same exact music, which sucks because most of the time in the other Mario Parties, there was at least different music.

I didn't notice the sound as much, because the only thing I could think about was the graphics.

Most of the mini-games are freakin' impossible. Take one game where you have to use a boat to capture 'sea monkeys' (Literally monkeys drowning at sea) and if you miss one you have to turn around and get him, but if you miss that one it's over and you're done. You have to be PERFECT if you wanna complete these mini games.

Overall this game gets 1 star, because I hated the graphics, the music was repetitive, the game SERIES is dead and the makers just keep on coming back with more to kill it.

I really want this series to end, cause by the time it does I can live happily in my retirement home.
