Brain Bread

Since Kirk has so kindly stolen the idea to review "Zombie Panic" from my mind, I thought, well hey, guess I should review Brain Bread.





now Brain Bread is the second made zombie mod for half-life 1, although it may not be as good as Zombie Panic, it still has some good qualities afoot.



Brain Bread is more of a cooperative game, while trying to achive mission objectives, from anything to obtaining a case, to defending an area for a certain amount of time, or to killing the Tyrant of the game "Fred" while at the same time, trying to blow off some zombies heads with a sawed off shotgun.





This game has a more unique style to it than Zombie Panic, Brain Bread has an advanced feature which allows you to level up in the following areas:

-Speed (so you can run faster)

-Ability (so you can use higher level weapons)

-HP (kinda self explanitory)



to get more experience to gain levels, you must either kill or shoot zombies, and complete mission objectives.





The best feature of this game is the extreme amount of zombies that are always coming at you, although they may spawn in the same areas, it's still fun. Expecially the feature which allows you to blow off certain body parts of zombies, such as the left or right side of their head, or their arms. Which makes it really fun to use a sniper rifle.



Another really cool thing in this game, is the amount of guns to choose from, they have tons of guns to choose from, everything from M4a1's, to Gas tanks, the amount of guns added in the game, really improve the quality and detail put into a game.





Though as most games have, this game has alot of flaws that could be worked on, the character models although have a good selection of them, are really bad looking, there arms are twisted up, and the animations and movement of them just look horrid, if they would fix up the player models a bit more in this game, it would be just a little bit more enjoyable then it is.



Another flaw in this game, is the amount of bugs that it has, it's just a big nest of bugs in this game. A few of which are easy to scout out too, like how when you climb on a ledge, zombies will keep walking against the wall towards you, hoping that maybe they'll somehow slide up the wall, reaching you. Another bug is that the zombies would be walking towards you, and then for some reason, they would stop, or just turn in another direction.

Small things like this, make the game less enjoyable, and more annoying to play.



Overall, I like it, but in time you will realize that it gets extremely repetitive, making it more and more boring each time you play, expecially when you play for 2 hours, and your already level 40 or 50. If your into zombie type games, you should at least give it the credit of trying it out, and if you like it, then thats great!
