  • Crazy Minigames, Annoying as ever

  • Author: Daniel
  • I had never played any of the WarioWare games before I played this one on my GBA. I had heard a lot of good things about it, mostly from Electronic Gaming Monthly, and that it is definetely worth the buy.

So I pop this game into my GBA, and then starts WarioWare Inc.

The story is Wario is a greedy fat man who sees that video game sales are way up, so he wants to create his own video game and calls on all his friends to help him make some games.

Then it goes that you have to play each of their minigames and pass each person's games to move on to the next level.

There are a LOT of minigames in Wario Ware, and I am being truly honest that the majority of them can get pretty hard. Some minigames are even classic Nintendo games (Zelda, Mario, Metroid.) Each minigame is about 3-5 seconds long, and they give you enough time to finish them don't worry.

I had a lot of fun with this game, as well I had a lot of aggression towards it because some of the minigames are just THROWN on you and you have NO idea what the heck to do and you freak out and fail and lose 1 out of your 4 lives. This happened to me a lot when I played it, and no doubt it'll happen to you if you play it.

Some of the minigames are pretty weird, from picking your nose to sniffing up tears out one's nose (Don't ask me how this makes sense, it's Wario Ware). The ones that are weird though are usually the easiest, though I couldn't help laughing when I saw the dog that I had to shake hands with.

The graphics are pretty good, as this is GBA I was impressed that they could do some of the visual effects that they did. All of Jimmy's levels show that very well. The people looked crisp and clear too.

The sound and music is very good quality, and I think I'm starting to get them stuck in my head, not to the extent of being annoying though. Each person has a different song, and each has their own sound (Of them speaking I guess, it kinda sounds like they say stuff within the lines of "Yea" and "Great Job!")

Overall, this game gets 1 mushroom. I had a lot of fun playing it, you will too if you buy it. There's also a Gamecube version I believe, and DS has come out with Wario Ware Touched. Overall, they are all VERY good games and if you see it, you should buy it.

Excuse me while I pick my nose while shaking hands with my dog.
