What a darn shame.
I feel really bad about writing a review like this. The producers have done so much homework on this game, and they have put so much hard work into a game that should be great, but just stinks.
I an sure many of you have heard the people say how realic MOH is. Don't believe it. Usually I rant about how the weapons stink, your character must be limp-wristing the gun, but I'm not going to do that. The reason MOH is unrealistic is because of the retarded AI. Those stupid Nazis can't hit the broad side of barn if they were inside it. They take cover behind wooden chairs and generally have problems. I've heard that the Nazis kick grenades back at you, and they do, but only if you seriously screw up. The weapons just seem to be ineffective, and they are just not fun to use. MOH even manages to take the Tommy gun down a notch. The only exeption is the M1 Garand, but you only get it for three levels, and then no more. Also, every Nazi weapon seems to use the same ammo as your gun. In a game that's supposed to be realistic, that just doesn't fly. The level design is OK, but just doesn't seem natural. D-day is OK, until you have to destroy some machine gun nests that have no clear location. If you die during a level, so MUST restart at the beginning. That's a real pai in the longer, more difficult levels. Your turning rate is very slow, so in multiplayer, it's very difficult to get a bead on your target. Time for some good news. The graphics are good. Just good, not great. On a side note, a game that's supposed to be "gritty realistic" must have blood. I'm not a gore fanatic, but seeing people collapse without a single drop of blood coming out of them ruins it for me. The music is OK, but who cares? MOH is good only for kids that aren't allowed to buy M-rated FPSs. There is a big HOWEVER though. If you've been watching a ton of Band of Brothers and it's the 60th anneversery D-day, then you may safely add 2 stars. There is only one other good thing about MOH. It's 20 dollar price point. Definatly try before you buy.
