Battlefield 1942

Oh no! not another crappy world war 2 first person shooter you say?

WRONG.



Battlefield 1942, is by far one of the best World War 2 simulators of all time, everything in this game is almost perfectly done. Although some people may disagree with me, i'll try to lay out a good arguement.

Usually if your a true gamer, or just a picky gamer, what you would first look out for in a game is of course the graphics, although the graphics in this game aren't "Half-life 2 material" they're still slick and nicely done, even for the time that it was made in of course.



Not only are the graphics good, but the gameplay of this is simple yet extremely fun. Basically it's just the amount of options you have to do, from classes, to choosing what plane or vehicle you wish to drive. They've made over 15 different tanks, planes, and vehicles (this is with the expansion packs) so much choise, so little time! or do you have time? trust me, if you get in this game, you REALLY get in this game, time will fly by like crazy.

Sounds in this game are also key, what use is a game without good sound effects and music? not a very good game in my opinion, luckily for this game, they've added a s*** load of guns in this game to choose from, even better, the sounds of the guns are realistically created to match those of the real ones. Sounds for the tanks/vehicles/planes are also excellent in this game. You can tell when a plane is 500m away, and 50m away, which is good if you got good ears of course.



What makes this game so perfect, is just about everything they do. You can bomb some Japanese ass in a plane, you can destroy Omaha Beach with a Battleship, hell you can even kick some American ass with a German Tiger Tank! I honestly don't think that EA Games has left anything out that they could have possibly improve on.....EXCEPT ONE THING, now I don't like to be picky about games, but there's only 1 thing wrong here. The realism in this game is bad bad bad. for example, you could shoot an enemy directly in the face with a pistol 2 times, all he will do is go "ERGH" and walk on. Or another example would be getting bombed by an airplane, and the bomb misses you DIRECTLY by about 7metres, it will do only about 25% damage, where in real life, your body would be flying in the air. If they improved this, the game would be perfect.

Long story short this game is again, one of the best WW2 multiplayer games I had ever played, if your into First Person Shooter games, get this right now! awesome part is you can get Battlefield 1942, plus all the expansions for about 30 bucks.
