  • Extending Robot Arm. Tastes Great!

  • Author: Daniel
  • The NES was a great system, despite what most people think.
They think that compared to any of today's systems, it's petty and feeble.

Quite frankly, this is not true.
In terms of graphics, yes that IS true, but the greatness value of the NES sweeps a lot of other systems away.

Enters Bionic Commando. This game is unknown to some people, because hey, no one knows about it quite frankly. I came upon it by chance, and upon playing it, I realized, this game is AWESOME.

You are THE BIONIC COMMANDO, one of the greatest characters ever made. Now, you're thinking, if he's so great why haven't I heard of him. Well that's because you haven't heard of him, but anyway he's great. You are in the army, and you have to infiltrate enemy bases with your extending robotic arm, and a fireball shooting bazooka. While the whole fireball shooting bazooka concept is similar, the extending robotic arm isnt. You can use it to latch onto ledges and much more objects, then de-extend up to the ledge or swing across. Though I'm sad you can't decapitate enemy army men's faces, but it's NES, so yea.

The graphics are NES style, nothing much you can say about it. Simple coloring and stuff. But the graphics don't matter. The music is pretty good, the first level song is pretty catchy. I hum it a lot at school (I hum a lot of things though, but trust me, it's good).

The sound is pretty good. Better than most other games. Though since its the NES, it has NES sound. They did their best for this game.

I really do LOVE this game.
Even if it is unknown, go out and get this game if you have an NES!
    Go out!
    Right now!

    PERFECT SCORE.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have some robotic arm goodness to enjoy.
