The Jedi School Goes Bankrupt
Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is yet another LucasArts Jedi Game (Which can obviously NOT be seen by the title of the game.) in which you are a Jedi going around and slashing things. With a lightsaber. Colors optional.
Basically, this game is about the main character, Jaden, who is going to a "Jedi Academy" led by the one and only Luke Skywalker. Your job is to do random missions in which you run around and slash stormtroopers and the occasional Cult of Ragnos (Bad guys trying to resurrect some dead Sith Lord. They carry lightsabers, which Jedi use, yet hate Jedi? I don't get it.) person who has a deep voice going "HARHA JEDI MUST DIE" Along with you is Rosh Penin, an annoying little homosexual who "frantically wants to prove himself that he can be a GREEE-ATE Jedi. He sucks by the way.) ![]() In the beginning of the game you get to choose if you're Male or Female, and Human or some weird alien race. The graphics aren't so bad, seeing as the game isn't TOO old. Sometimes it's a bit sketchy and laggy, depending on the amount of people around you. A good idea is to NOT just try to run through everything, because chances are you'll then be trailed by 7 lightsaber wielders, and it's not easy to kill all 7 unless you've played the game a couple of times. ![]() The music is generic Star Wars music from the actual movie, that's just been edited to fit the levels. Nothing exciting there, as it's VERY much in the background. The sound board consists of 3 sounds. (KABLOOSH, PEEWOOO, and VOOM VOOM VOOM) And maybe the occasional pitter patter of your foot steps (only yours make sounds, apparently you wear obnoxiously heavy shoes that whenever you step makes a sound. Everyone else is wearing socks?) The game is WAY too repetitive. It consists of running around a level going VOOM VOOM and then AUGGHHHHHHHH (That's dying by the way.) That's it! One slash with a lightsaber and someone's dead. I see no NEED for the people existing in the game, you get past them like they aren't because 85% of the bad guys in the game are stormtroopers, which are ridiculously easy. Overall this gets two stars. Graphics are okay, music and sounds are Eh, and the repetitiveness pisses me off. If you really want to get it, it's your choice. It's an okay game to play in your spare time, but I wouldn't waste any more time than that.
