Paperboy

Some of us remember as a child, playing the good ol' NES games, you know?
The ones you would just wake up, eat your Mr.T cerial, watch Alf, and turn on that NES to play Duck Hunt, or Megaman?

You remember those games?



Well sadly, this isn't one of them.



Paperboy is one of the most pathetic attempts to entertain me, that i've almost ever seen (and belive me, i've played Atari) I know standards should be set very low for NES, but this game goes below the bar of NES. for starters, they can't even get proper coloring done, I mean, take a look at this "thing" on a bike.



Your'e probably wonder the same thing im wondering...why is his face blue? also, why is he trying to hit me with his bike? I CLEARLY saw him sitting there until I started to ride somewhat near him. I mean come on, what were the creaters of this game thinking?


Creator: "HAY UM GUYS, I HAVE AN IDEA, INSTEAD OF MAKING THIS GUY'S SKIN ORANGE, LET'S MAKE IT BLUE"

Team: Brilliant!

Get my drift? not only that, but the game is sooooo cheesy, I mean sure it's fun to avoid things while trying to deliver your papers, but at least, AT LEAST have something throwing the objects, or making them move.

I feel like im in some crazy world while playing this game, because for some reason, tires keep flying out of the houses at me, lawnmowers are cutting the grass by themselves, and people are trying to hit me! this game is just too retarded to play anymore.

The music in this game is just terrible, theres only about 2 songs you get in this game:

"The annoying in game song", and "The annoying bonus round song".

They both just make me want to take the game cartridge, and throw it against the wall.

It gets even worse, while you have the crappy music playing in the background, you have even more horrid sound effects going on, like the glass breaking sound, they crank up the audio of it about 500% more than it should be, so your grit your teeth every time you break a window, or sucessfully deliver a newspaper.

Paperboy actually had me laughing though, they have some of the most stupid looking "enemys" in this game. It's so ugly and pathetic, that it's funny. I mean take a look at some of these guys:

The guy who is trying to blow himself (in fast motion)



The crazy construction worker



The HARDK0RE skateboarder



The motorcycle man with no face



The tire that comes out of houses for no reason



and the cat which makes barking sounds in game (seriously)



I only really enjoyed 1 part of that game...
