  • Half-life 2 has wowed many fans, including myself. From the Engine to the GFX everyone wanted to buy it. It was leaked and delayed but thats all in the past. Now, the Review that proves HL2 is still righteous.

The Story leaves off to where HL1 left off, with G-Man in a slow Teleport and he Teleports you about 5-15 years into the future. Xen is up for grabs. The world is being over-taken by Combine Empire aka The Neo-Nazis. This is an empire that your Black Mesa ex-adminstrator, Dr. Breen, aka Hitler, is controlling. City 17 is slowly being eaten up by the Citadel, aka Breen's Castle. Also, you team up with old friends and new friends as you battle the Combine Empire.

    Sorry for HotLinking

This is THE game you should pickup if you upgrade your computer sometime. This game can run in any computer that is pretty decent and the higher the GHZ and RAM you got, the Graphics and FPS generally get better. A friend of mine was running 1.6 GhZ on HL2 at almost topping speeds of 130 FPS, its amazing.

The Source Engine as Anyone would call it is the most realistic, yet its very complicated. Susspose you compared real life physics with this physics, get a physics teacher, HL2 in real-time speed and get the same objects as protrayed on HL2 and Im almost certian you'll get a good match.

The sounds are amazing, The Source Engine uses Doppler Effects and other goodies to make the game sound realistic. If a Combine was shooting at you, from far away you barely hear the bullets but you hear them whizzing by you from left to right. Get close you hear gunshot loudly and bullets hitting the body. While in the Canals, you can hear the Alarms of C17 which sound amazing.

5/5 Simply because I was very impressed by the realisticness of this game. You can take this game put it around surround sound with a Giant Screen TV with a mouse and keyboard and you wont get your eye/ears to bleed.
