  • I'm not exactly sure how to classify OZ. OZ is like the game version of those little doll makers girls are so into. Essentially, you go around in "Another" life, making friends, doing meaningless s***, and essentially doing nothing original whatsoever. Awesome! (Not).

OZ, realistically, is like playing the part of a big MMORPG where you do nothing but fish and change your clothes to look good. You think I'm kidding. The game basically has three points to it:

    1. Changing how you look
    2. Doing mundane crap to make money or level or something
    3. Interacting with other players.

So essentially, you get nowhere in the game. To be honest, everyone in the game basically plays it with a newbie character anyway (So much for continual players) so you really have no incentive to do anything. Fishing is a big deal in the game (Which falls under the "Mundane Crap"), but I will honestly say that fishing in an MMORPG for hair styles is like slaving in real life for a few pennies. Whoop-dee freakin do.

Of course, the "Big" part of the game is number 3: Relationships. Yes, because this is one of those dips*** games where it tries to replace real life, it sets up a system where you can "Date" and have "Lovers" and all the stuff that even Everquest players make fun of. The last time I wanted to get online and have a little love story going on in a video game, I took my Nunchaku and beat myself until I cried, and then I beat myself because I cried. This is just stupid.

Of course, another annoying facet of this game is the graphics and controls. The graphics, honestly, remind me of a s***ty PS1 game where the creators were extremely lazy and used the Onimusha/Final Fantasy style to get away with not having to do full 3D. Then, tack on the fact that to move around you use a character-centric moving system with the ARROW KEYS, it just gets bad fast. I don't like using my arrow keys and my mouse together, it's too close and lopsided. Plus, to move anywhere it takes an aeon anyway, so by the time I was done I was praying that my character would get in a car and drive off.

Overall, I haven't said much about this game. Why not? I spent approximately 20 minutes playing it, then turned it off, deleted it, and looked for holy water to purify my Hard Drive. This game needs work. A game based around online relationships, stupid underdeveloped minigames and hairstyling is NOT on my list of good games. Maybe it is for shallow 11 year old girls, but last time I checked, I was too old for this kinda crap. I don't care if this game is free, don't get it, it's a waste of time and energy.
