Dig Dug II(NES) (Unknown) (Adventure) |

Classic NES Fun
Dig Dug II is the kind of game that makes you laugh. It certainly made me laugh. Basically, like a lot of other NES games, the game has no plot when you think about it. Apparently you, let's call you Mr. DiggerFace, really hate dragons and weird red things wearing goggles. You have been set out on a mission to travel from island to island and DESTROY each one of them.
![]() Now when you go on these island, the player (You) will notice small brown things on it. I didn't know what these were at first, until I discovered that if you use a jackhammer on them they create fault lines. If you were to connect certain fault lines to make a square, that square will sink into the ocean. Now, you also have an AIR tank on your back. ![]() Let me explain this air tank in a new paragraph, because I might go on a rant. Basically, you have this harpoon-like gun and an air tank on your back. When you shoot things with your harpoon and repeatedly press the button you used to fire it, you will BLOW air into your enemy until it EXPLODES. THE THINGS...EXPLODE. Anyway, when I did this I immediately couldn't help laughing and then once I ceased laughing I went on an all-hell air pumping massacre, destroying several dozens of dragons and red gogglies. ![]() The controls on this game are simple, as most of the NES games are because of the four button limit, but the moving around is sometimes annoying. Either you don't stop when you want to or you keep on walking, I don't know but I found it a littler annoying to get in perfect firing line to blow up dragons. The graphics are self-explanatory. It's the NES, not too many colors but just enough so that you KNOW you're on an island. Overall I give this game 1 mushroom, for being fun and funny at the same time. I want that air harpoon.
