New Halo 2 Maps

Now when I first heard of the new maps, I was like “kick ass.” The feeling is still as strong as it was back then.

The four new maps that came out recently are called Containment, Warlock, Turf, and Sanctuary. Containment and Warlock are free, but Turf and Sanctuary cost $6. I am going to put this review in sections for each map, so each map gets a mini review.

Containment is the answer for Halo 1 fans cries for a remake of sidewinder. This map is a hell lot better than sidewinder. There are more obstacles, tunnels, and mines that make the games a lot more interesting. As you know, this is a snow map, so people have made new games like “Arctic Battle” and game modes like that sort. CTF, Assault, and Sniper's Only are the best modes for this map. I think this is the best map out of all of the new ones.

The next map is a remake of Wizard, one of the crappiest Halo 1 maps to my opinion. For Warlock, they updated the graphics, and that’s basically it. It’s still just the small dull level no one plays much on. This game is good for a sixteen-person Juggernaut game and slayer. This is by my standards one of the crappiest maps still for Halo and Halo 2.

Now onto the maps that cost $6. Turf is a really good map for fan created games like Zombies, Mr. President, and other games like that. It’s the answer for a better city level than Headlong. I like Headlong, but I would rather have a more enclosed street battle. This map is pretty fun for a huge game of CTF. It gets so crazy that you usually only last ten seconds before dying. This map alone is worth the six dollars. If you don’t have the money, then earn it. You won’t have much fun with people when you don’t have this.

Last but not least is Sanctuary. This is another pretty fun small slayer, CTF, and assault game. If you have like six to eight friends in a party, this is a good map to play on. To help explain this map, think of old Aztec relics that are like a water park. This is a great map to play on, just don’t have too many people on; otherwise it would be too much of a shoot one rocket to get a Killamanjaro.

So if I could rate these separately, I would give Containment five stars, Warlock one star, Turf four stars, and Sanctuary four stars. If you have Halo 2, get these maps. Even if you just do trial Xbox Live crap, get them anyway. Also the $6 maps are worth it. Make the d*** money and buy them. Wash a car, feed a cat for the weekend, beat that kid up next door and steal his money, anyway just get some money.
