Nintendo's Coolest Grandparent contest announcedFrom Nintendo.com:Some of the coolest grandparents around competed in a Nintendo video game competition September 9th at the Nintendo World store in Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. Barbara St. Hilaire of Mantua, Ohio has been crowned "Nintendo's Coolest Grandparent of the Year" after winning the competition, held in honor of Grandparents Day. Barbara, 70, defeated other grandparents in a competition of Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day, a brain-training title for Nintendo DS that is especially popular among baby boomers and seniors. A grandmother of 13, Barbara won two Nintendo DS Lite systems and 10 DS games to play with her family. She has been playing video games since 1975 and has gained some notoriety for her gaming abilities. "I'm amazed I won! I didn't think I was that good," said Barbara. "I play with my 13 grandkids and they are all gamers. It's a lot of fun." Brain Age includes a series of fun tests in areas like reading, counting, math and memorization. It helps baby boomers, seniors and everyone else who plays it keep their minds stimulated.
