Gran Turismo HD (High Definition), previously known as Vision Gran Turismo at E3 2006, was to be the first installment of the Gran Turismo racing series to be released on the PlayStation 3. This title has been cancelled as a full-blown epilogue but will be made available as a series of free downloadable concept titles. A free demo will be in the Playstation Store on December 24, 2006. Polyphony Digital will now focus on developing Gran Turismo 5 and will abandon GTHD Classic mode, while still offering some GTHD Premium content in free demos as a prologue to GT5. Concept will feature ten cars and two layouts of a single track.
