  • Monster Rancher EVO (Monster Farm 5: Circus Caravan (Japan)) is the latest instalment in the ever popular Monster Rancher series. Released in Japan on December 8th 2005 for the Playstation 2, It will hit American shores on April 11th 2006. Players in Europe, Australia and New Zealand can expect this game sometime in late August early September 2006.

Monster Rancher EVO will delve into the more traditional depths of RPG gaming. Gamers will play the role of Julio, a circus performer who aspires to be a world class monster breeder. Players must meet with the circus ringleader on a monthly basis to plan out the coming month's course of action; schedule in circus performances, training missions and general training for their monsters.

Although the series has taken a new direction Monster Rancher EVO will feature many of the much loved themes and excitements of past games. The monster generation from CDs and DVDs is back with a pretty shaman named Nayuta (who is also the game's heroine) to unlock your disks with her magical monster rebirth dance. Not only can heroine Nayuta create monsters for you, she can re-seal them in disk stones too. Note that this does not effect monster status or well being but it does effect motivation and loyalty...so reckless resealing can lead to broblems if you have a show coming up. Re sealed monsters can be revived at any time! Up to 10 monsters at a time may be resealed.
