God of War II: Divine Retribution is an upcoming sequel to the original God of War video game and is being released for the Sony PlayStation 2 video game console. It is expected to be released sometime during Q1 2007. [1] God of War II continues the story of the original God of War.

Although there were teasers presented in the original God of War, the official plot of the sequel has been established with Kratos fighting against the Moirae, the three Sisters of Fate (Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos). In fighting the Fates Kratos is trying to change his destiny, from doing the horrible things he has done after being stripped of his powers,100 years after what happened in the first game.
