SSX Tricky is the second game in the SSX series. The game's sequel is SSX 3. It was so similar to the original SSX game (with a few new features) that it has been called by many people an "upgrade". As in SSX, players choose one of several varied characters, participate in races or trick competitions, and earn rewards.
SSX Tricky introduced "Uber Tricks," absurdly exaggerated tricks, often involving detatching the board from the rider's feet. The player gained access to uber tricks after filling the adrenaline bar; performing six uber tricks temporarily earned the player unlimited boost for a short period of time.
