HAZE is a FPS title from Free Radical Design, which debued at E3 2006. It will be published by Ubisoft.
Developed by Free Radical Design, creators of the TimeSplitters series, HAZE is scheduled for an early 2007 release for Sony's PS3, Microsoft's Xbox 360 and will also be available on Windows PC DVD-ROM. From the press releases and media avalible it seems that this game is a new approch for Free Radical Design, as it looks far more serious than the tognue-in-cheek Timesplitters games.
Set 25 years in the future, the game stars Jack Carpenter, who is a newly enlisted soldier in an outsourced military outfit named the Mantel army. The outfit has access to high-tech vehicles, weaponry, and performance-enhancing biomedical support.
The game starts as Carpenter is sent to a war-torn South American country to fight a rebel faction named The Promise Hand. From here, Ubisoft says that "things quickly begin to look a little strange."
Online modes will include co-op and multiplayer.
