Building the Ultimate Gaming Machine Part 1: Deciding what to do.

BUGS is a series I'm starting to catalog the many ways you can build, buy, or essentially get a good gaming PC. I'm probably going to do these weekly, and hopefully you'll get your weekly digest of computer information without having to surf wierd geeky sites.

Okay, first off, I'm sure a lot of you have always wanted to have that "Master" computer. You know, the one that just smokes by and takes anything? Well, I've wanted that same computer for a long time: the one that just takes anything I throw at it and spits it out in a little perfect pile. Perfection.

So how do I get this perfect gaming machine? Do I buy from Alienware?

    Or the dreaded Falcon Northwest?

Yes, the cases are pretty. And yes, getting those systems is basically a guarantee of a perfectly running gaming rig. And that's fine for most people.

But SOME of us can't afford $4000 for a gloss paintjob and a Falcon imprint in the d***ed case. Some of us can't afford dual SLIs as a d***ed default. And some of us still want the power of the Alienware and Falcon-NW systems. And that's just fine.

See, when you buy from a company, you're paying for the following extras:
    1. Users manuals you probably will throw away.
    2. Logos, advertisements, and promotions
    3. Sponsored parts that cost more than OEM value
    4. Misellaneous parts and services you don't need.

In fact, I'm of the belief that most things you buy from Computer Companies cost $500+ more than they actually need to be just because of all the company requirements, like Advertising.

Now don't get me wrong. I'm not saying go out there with your hands and build yourself a complex computer. If you're techshy, or if you don't have the time to figure out how to build one, then DON'T. Also, if you want a laptop, I'd reccomend you buying a premade one anyway just because they break or get hurt so d*** much.

Now, for those of you with your screwdriver in one hand and womandriver in the other, lets get cracking.
