Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters for the PSP released

Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. announced today the release of Ratchet & Clank?: Size Matters, an all-new sci-fi adventure designed exclusively for the PSP? (PlayStation?Portable) system. Developed by High Impact Games, Ratchet and Clank make their PSP debut in the latest installment in the
multimillion-selling series. Returning to the franchise?s roots with classic Ratchet & Clank gameplay, Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters features everything fans have come to expect from the series with explosive weaponry, an immersive storyline and action-packed online gaming.

?We are excited to be bringing one of the most successful franchises on the PlayStation?2 to the PSP? and provide millions of PlayStation fans with a high quality, on-the-go Ratchet & Clank experience,? said Frank Simon, Producer, Product Development, Sony Computer Entertainment America. ?Although Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters is completely new, it stays true to what has made the franchise a huge success- the unique weapons, humor, characters, style and engaging storyline.?

Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters takes place after the events of Ratchet: Deadlocked? where players will find Ratchet and Clank taking a much needed vacation. While relaxing, they are approached by a young girl named Luna, who is working on a school report on heroes. Soon afterwards, Luna is kidnapped by a group of mysterious robots. Ratchet and Clank set out to rescue her only to discover a much bigger galactic adventure than they?d anticipated.

Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters raises the bar on portable gaming by delivering a console-like experience on a handheld system, with smooth controls, visually-stunning graphics and all-new vibrant worlds specifically designed for the PSP. Building on the franchise?s reputation for innovative weaponry, High Impact Games utilizes the power of the PSP to deliver explosive destruction-wielding weapons made famous in previous Ratchet & Clank games. In addition to new weapons and gadgets, including the Bee Mine Glove, Acid Bomb, Laser Tracer and Sprout-o-Matic, Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters reintroduces fan favorites such as the Blitz Cannon, Agents of Doom and Shrink Ray.

Ratchet?s brainy robotic sidekick, Clank, is back as a playable character with all-new gameplay. When taking on the role of Clank, players will be able to control the gadgebots, pilot super-sized robotic torsos and engage in space combat missions as Giant Clank. For those looking for a challenge outside of the single-player adventure, Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters features intense, fast-paced multiplayer wireless gaming. Supporting both Ad-hoc and Infrastructure play, up to four players will have the option to start a game with their friends nearby, or take on other gamers around the country. Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters incorporates several of the classic multiplayer modes such as Death Match, Team Death Match, Capture the Flag, as well as a new unconventional mode called Iron Lombax. Iron Lombax is an objective-based mode where players are teamed-up to complete different tasks before their opponents.

Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters is receiving full marketing support in the following categories to extend consumer awareness for the franchise?s debut on the PSP.
