Fight Night Round 3 socks storesAfter months of "training" at Electronic Arts' Chicago studio, Fight Night Round 3 is finally ready to rumble. The megapublisher has announced that the latest entry in its best-selling boxing series has stepped into the retail ring, shipping for the PlayStation Portable, Xbox, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 2. The game is rated T for Teen and sells for $39.99 for all platforms but the 360, the first of EA's new lowered-price current-gen games. The next-gen version of the game will set virtual pugilists back $59.99.Fight Night Round 3 continues the series' tradition of letting gamers go toe to toe with top-notch boxers without having to train eight hours a day, seven days a week, in a dank, sweaty gym. Besides cover-boy Oscar De La Hoya, the game features a host of real-life kings of the ring, including Bernard Hopkins, Jermaine Taylor, Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, Joe Frazier, and the greatest of all time, Muhammad Ali. Gamers will also be able to custom-create their own boxers and knock the pixilated stuffing out of fictional opponents. As with previous sequels in the series, Fight Night Round 3 builds upon its predecessors. Besides improved graphics, the game includes the new Impact Punch feature, which lets players turn the tide of a bout with one well-placed fisticuff.
