Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest is a 2006 pirate adventure film that follows the 2003 summer blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. The sequel is directed by Gore Verbinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, both of whom were involved in the making of the first film. Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, and Keira Knightley reprise their roles as Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, and Elizabeth Swann, respectively. Stellan Skarsgård plays the role of Will Turner's father, "Bootstrap Bill" Turner, and Geoffrey Rush makes a cameo appearance as Captain Barbossa.
