An interviewing Journey

If you didn't know I live down in Miami, Florida. Yes we have the whole stereotypical hot babes, palm trees, and beaches and what not. That doesn't change it from being a place where many gamers reside. Seeing as I go to school with many of these people and I see a lot at the mall or at the local EBGames, I decided to do a little interview.

I will not give any names of the people I interviewed in case they get mad at me, just know the age range differed from 15-25.

Which of the next-gen consoles are you most excited for? (I specified that ones out currently can be counted as well).

Well really I love that Xbox 360 man, that s*** is sick. It'll destroy the other two systems hands down dog. (dawg?)

So you say the Xbox 360 will destroy the Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Revolution, you have any particular reasons?

Well man the Xbox 360...well first of all that machine looks tight. Also the graphics are really good too.

Yes well aside from the actual machine design, the other two systems will probably have the same graphical capability that the Xbox 360 holds. Any other reasons why it'll destroy the other two systems?

Well...I mean it just will dog (dawg?), there's no way some crappy Playstation 3 could beat an Xbox 360 dude. Microsoft makes that, I mean they never mess up, right?

This was just one person, after that I stopped interviewing him after I learned that he didn't have much of an opinion, since it was mostly based on how the machine looked.

Do you own an Xbox 360?

Yes.

What's your favorite game for the Xbox 360?

Honestly, there are very few good Xbox 360 games out right now. I'll probably pick up Ghost Recon once it comes out cause that games looks really good. Sometimes I'll play Madden and sometimes Geometry Wars.

Concerning Madden, do you own the [first] Xbox version of Madden?

No but I've seen screenshots. It still looks great.

Gamers have been having problems with Madden, mostly because between both the systems there is little to no graphical update between the two systems. What's your take on that?

Well there is a graphical update but I can see where they are coming from. There isn't a huge graphical update and the fact that they're getting angry is appropiate. The games cost $60 dollars now and to pay an extra $10 for the same game with not much changes could be upsetting.

I was really happy when I heard this guy played Geometry Wars. For those of you that don't know, Geometry Wars is a $5 download that you can get on your 360 and quite frankly I've heard that it is the best game for the 360. G.R.A.W. might change that, but still to have a $5 download be better than something that costs $55 more is kinda ridiculous.

What system are you anticipating the most?

The Revolution man. That thing looks crazy.

So you're a Nintendo supporter, why are you going with the Revolution?

Well Nintendo's really never failed me before. People said they f***ed up with the DS but really the DS is better than the PSP. Sure the PSP has some nice stuff on it, I heard it has like an MP3 player or you can watch movies or [something] but the DS has some better games.

But why the Revolution? Any particular reasons?

Well I mean, the controller has been getting laughed at a lot dog (dawg?) but I think it's awesome. It's new and different than the [other] consoles' controllers. I heard the game launch line-up has a Mario game in it, and I love Mario games.

One of the few Revolution supporterse I found around my area this guy knew little about the Revolution itself except for the controller design and some rumors about the game launch line-up. He knew a little bit more about the DS, but he kinda rambled onto other topics about my sex life and if I'm "tapping any hos". I hate that kid.

So if Optimus Prime and Link (from Zelda) were to have a battle in the middle of Tokyo, who would win?

...um...Optimus Prime?

This question didn't have much to do with anything, I just wanted to see who would win.

I interviewed more people than this, however a lot of them shared the same opinions of the ones above in that they either knew what they were talking about or they were full of crap.

I have a lot of Xbox 360 supporters at my school and while there is nothing wrong with that a lot of them know barely anything about it. They assume it'll dominate over the other 2 systems and we can only truly know that once the other 2 come out.

I won't go into my opinion because the last time I did that Kirk beat me up and stole my lunch money, so we'll end it with this: Optimus Prime wouldn't win. Neither would Link. They'd kill each other at the same time while the city, preferrably Tokyo, would go up in flames.
