What's the best system?

What is the best system? Is it the Xbox? The PS2? The N64?

I took a poll at my school and to several people at EBGames and this is some of the results I got. Now I reminded them they could pick ANY console. So the NES is fair play.

Approximately 35 people I asked said the NES was the best.

Approximately 150 people said the SNES was the best.

Approximately 120 people said the Xbox was the best.

Approximately 90 people said the Gamecube was the best.

Approximately 120 people said the PS2 was the best.

Approximately 50 people said the Dreamcast was the best.

Approximately 15 people said the PSP was the best.

Approximately 35 people said the DS was the best.

Approximately 100 people said the Gameboy Advanced was the best.

Approximately 5 people said the Game Gear was the best. (Most people don't know that Sega came out with a handheld of their own, called the Game Gear. Which had a backlight and everything, which kinda makes me wonder why everyone was like 'A backlight? That's never been done on a handheld!' when the SP came out.)

If you can read, then obviously you notice that the SNES beat the PS2 AND the Xbox by about 30 people. What does this say to people?

I can simply tell you one simple reason why the SNES won overall. It's library.

Since the SNES is much older than the Xbox or the PS2, it doesn't have very good graphics and it's most likely not nearly as powerful as any of the next generation consoles. So why did it win the poll? Most of the gamers I talked to said they chose the SNES because it has, Quote: "Kickass games. The Megaman X series, Super Mario World. You can't go wrong with that stuff man."

So while new systems boast about power, wireless controllers, the ability to play DVDs, and possibly cook you breakfast, the SNES still shines on top because of its simplicity.

Shows that consoles should be worrying about what kind of games they have before they start boasting about how they are superior to all other consoles. Heck, the reason I don't like the Xbox is cause of it's library. It's library doesn't impress me at all, and that's why I personally don't like it.
