Ok, after reading one of Jamison's rants about how parents are dumbasses for blaming violence on video games and stuff, I just had to make on article on this cause I have a STRONG opinion towards this.

Ok, first off I notice a LOT of people fussing over video games because they corrupt young children's brains with ideas of violence and murder and that's why children do violent and murderous things. However, this is the most bullcrap thing I've ever heard. More children have died from watching SpongeBob Squarepants and post-watching they go jump into the ocean looking for a godd*** pineapple under the sea. I don't see them blaming SpongeBob for anything except being gay.

Now my opinion on these people who blame every violent act on video games is just that they're looking for a scapegoat because they don't want to see it any other way. If a child isn't a total dumbass, he'll know that a game is just a game and that you can't really do the stuff you do in those games because you would:

    (A)Die
(B)Get a timeout and go in the corner
(C)Get shot at with many SMGs

If people think after playing GunZ that they can run across the wall and expect to be able to not be severely injured, they should be tested for being retarded.

Now some parents know that 'M' stands for 'MATURE' and that they shouldn't buy that game for their children (I.E. MY parents), but OTHER parents buy their 7 year old children Grand Theft Auto and Devil May Cry and all the other games that are 'M' Rated just cause they wanna get them to stop going 'AHPLEEEEEEZZZZZ'

These parents need to learn how to be parents. First off if you BUY the child the game, it's YOUR responsibility. Why? BECAUSE YOU BOUGHT IT. YOU AGREED THAT THE GAME WAS FIT TO ENTER YOUR HOME AND THEREFORE CANNOT SUE/BLAME/GET MAD AT THE GAME (Unless you play it and lose) BECAUSE IT MADE YOUR CHILD GET A SAMURAI SWORD AND START SLICING UP HALF OF THE LOCAL PARK.

    *cough*

Anyway, if a parent realizes that the 'M' stands for 'Mature, do not let anyone under 17 play', they can get mad all they want for hurting their neighbors child or something. However, if a parent bought it for their child (say as a birthday present), they CANNOT go and get pissed at the game for being so d*** violent because YOU bought it. YOU should've asked the clerk at the store 'Is this game safe for my newborn baby?'. YOU should have realized that 'M' does not stand for 'MAN THIS GAME ROX'

STOP MAKING VIDEO GAMES A SCAPEGOAT AND START BLAMING SOMETHING ELSE. LIKE BEING A SOCIOPATH.
